Floyd Zone: Hasselblad 501c | 80mm CFE T* | Kodak Portra 160
I recently upgraded my 80mm CF T* on my Hasselblad 501c to an 80mm CFE T*. I upgraded because the CFE is, to me, a much more ergonomic lens, smoother focus and shutter/aperture rings, the lens feels nicer, and it is the newest of the 80mm lenses.
The first roll I put through this new lens was a Kodak Portra 160, a film I have mixed results with, it is also the first roll that I decided to try incident metering instead of reflective. Here are most of the shots from that roll.
I need to get better at shooting incident rather than reflective, but it was a good first try. I think I’ll likely stick to Portra 400, as I like it better, even shooting it at 100 iso. The CFE is an absolute dream to use, now to get rid of the CF I still have.
